THE WAYS YOU’LL GROW

Coaching

As a part of your Academy experience, we will give you a placement for you to play your part in Oceans Church. This placement will come with intentional leadership coaching to help you succeed in your role. As well as a placement, there will also be smaller tasks for you to carry out according to where the need is in the church.

Sessions

Academy Sessions are the secret-sauce of the whole program. Sessions are weekly gatherings we have with worship, encouragements, discussions and talks. Academy Sessions provide indepth training for ministry from a number of pastors and leaders inside and outside of Oceans. As well as this, Academy Sessions will equip you to be a carrier of culture in Oceans Church. We have been refining and developing our content for 3 years and we’re excited for the new additions we’re adding to 2023

Serving

A key component of Oceans Academy is the opportunity to have hands-on ministry experience. Whilst the majority of your placement may be centred around a specific area, we see our students as culture builders for Oceans. This means that you will play an active role leading in Sunday services, Dinner Parties and other church events including Welcome Parties and Energise.

Cert IV

We partner with Alphacrucis University College to provide our students with accredited education. The Certificate of Ministry and Discipleship through the Oceans LCC trains you in the skills you need to lead a ministry team and will take your leadership to the next level. You’ll will also be taught online by some of the best leaders, pastors and theologians in our country.

  • YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO PAY THE COURSE FEES THROUGH ALPHACRUCIS UNIVERSITY COLLEGE. THE FEES FOR THE CERTIFICATE IV IN MINISTRY & DISCIPLESHIP ARE $4900 (RRP $6720) PAID TO OCEANS CHURCH IN FOUR INSTALMENTS OF $1,225 AT THE BEGINNING OF EACH TERM.

  • YOU WILL STUDY THE CERTIFICATE IV IN MINISTRY & DISCIPLESHIP THROUGH ALPHACRUCIS UNIVERSITY COLLEGE. AS WELL AS THIS, ALL ACADEMY STUDENTS ARE INCLUDED IN THE ACADEMY SESSIONS THAT RUN WEEKLY ON FRIDAY MORNING.

  • YOU WILL GRADUATE WITH YOUR CERTIFICATE IV FROM AC AND HAVING DONE APPROXIMATELY 300 HOURS OF INTER-LEADERSHIP IN OCEANS CHURCH. AS WELL AS THIS YOU WILL HAVE A GREATER SENSE OF WHO YOU ARE, WHY YOU ARE MADE AND WHAT GOD’S PURPOSE IS FOR YOUR LIFE. TO ENSURE YOU GRADUATE ACADEMY YOU MUST ATTEND AT LEAST 80% OF ALL ACADEMY EVENTS.
